D: 如何把設計做好的同時，活得體面？
瑞：這需要把設計放在正確的位置上。周圍有很多人在經歷的生活和工作狀態是：有一份差不多、不討厭的營生，另有一份真正喜歡的生活技能，或事業，或愛好。這也就是常說的「麵包與愛情」，它與自身期待相匹配很重要。如果本就把設計視為差不多的「麵包」，生活的體面自然是別的方面；如果把設計視為「愛情」，也就是做好設計，但不一定得甲方的心，所以生活體面要常常另謀出路，設計就變作了一種需要暫時供養的愛好；如果對設計有與自己能力不匹配的期待，很容易不體面……如果自己能讓設計既成為大「麵包」又本出於「愛情」，那恭喜你，你打敗了很多很多人！
D: How to do design well while living decently?
Ry: This requires properly understanding the role of design in life. Many people experience a situation where they have a job that is neither good nor bad, and they don’t dislike it. Alongside, they pursue something they truly love, whether it’s a skill, a career, or a hobby. This is what’s commonly referred to as “bread and love,” and it’s important for both to align with one’s expectations. If design is considered merely as the so-called “bread” of life, then dignity in life naturally comes from other aspects. If design is regarded as “love,” implying that one does design well without necessarily winning the favor of clients, then achieving a decent life might involve exploring alternative paths, and design would become a hobby that requires temporary nurturing. Expecting too much from design, beyond one’s capabilities, can lead to undignified outcomes. If you manage to make design both a substantial “bread” and an expression of “love,” then congratulations, you’ve surpassed many others!
D: 你想成為怎樣的設計師？
瑞：一個能為其他設計師深入到更多社會領域做貢獻，而跑到其他領域參與鋪路的設計師。
D: What kind of designer do you aspire to be?
Ry: A designer who can contribute to other designers by delving into various social domains and paving the way for involvement in other fields.

Ry: Sense of achievement (work): Getting client’s approval for design concept through sincere explanation.
